Our hearts skipped a lid-dle at this gorgeous piece of Koimari ware!
“Koimari” is a type of Arita ware produced in the Edo period (between 1603-1867). “Ko-“ means old, so “Ko-imari“ directly translated means Old Imari. The Japanese began making porcelain as a result of imports from South Korea and China. Later in the 19th century, many “Koimari” porcelain wares were exported to many parts of the world via Nagasaki and went on to become well-known globally, along with ukiyo-e (浮世絵) and other traditional Japanese crafts. In a sense, the “Koimari” wares that traveled to different parts of the world in the 19th century gave the world a first glimpse of Japan. Porcelain wares labeled as “Koimari” are considered an important artifact, with its rich history and popularity!

Trim wicks to 0.25"/0.6cm each time before lighting.
Make sure to burn your candle on heat resistant surfaces!
All our candle vessels are reusable for a more environmentally-friendly candle burning experience. After the candle is finished burning, simply wash the vessel with warm water and dish soap.
